1 Samuel 3:12-14 NLT “I am going to carry out all my threats against Eli and his family, from beginning to end.
13 I have warned him that judgment is coming upon his family forever, because his sons are blaspheming God and he hasn’t disciplined them.
14 So I have vowed that the sins of Eli and his sons will never be forgiven by sacrifices or offerings.”
Eli, as the high priest (senior pastor) and as a father to his two sons failed to discipline his boys as a pastor and as a father thus resulting in the whole family and ministry being cursed. Moreover, the promise to be in the line of priests was cut. This is why Proverbs says those who hate discipline are “stupid.”
Proverbs 12:1 AMP “Whoever loves instruction and discipline loves knowledge, But he who hates reproof and correction is stupid.”
This is why even families are “jacked up” living in chaos and poverty. Moms refused to discipline their children but giving the farm away to them. The answer of no” is a foreign language. Moms/dads always giving into tantrums and defending their bad behavior. This is why such people are bottom feeders.
