Revelation 2:26-27 NLT “To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, To them I will give authority over all the nations. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.”
Those who are given authority over the nations which are God’s people must pass victoriously of their very difficult tests. They will be given an iron rod or scepter. What does the iron rod represent? Does it represent a menacing stick of intimidation?
No, it means the authority has been given to a person or persons who do not bend the rules or compromise. They do not govern their families or ministries from positions of fear, hence the iron. This was given to the church of Thyatira. But those who didn’t pass their tests are known as those from the church of the chicken thigh.
