Hello Family. Last night, a member was taken to the emergency room. The first thought was that he was suffering from severe allergies. However, he was in extreme pain, and if asked from 1-10, he said 10!
His wife took him to emergency on our advice because from looking at his skin from the pictures sent to us, it looked like SHINGLES!
What is Shingles?
“A viral infection that causes a painful rash, also called shingles. Shingles, also called herpes zoster, is caused by the varicella-zoster virus. This is the same virus that causes chickenpox. Anyone who’s had chickenpox may develop shingles.”
But people who get shingles are usually people over 50 years but he is only 39 or so.
Acts 5:1-5 TPT “Now, a man named Ananias and his wife, Sapphira, likewise sold their farm.
2 They conspired to secretly keep back for themselves a portion of the proceeds. So when Ananias brought the money to the apostles, it was only a portion of the entire sale.
3 God revealed their secret to Peter, so he said to him, “Ananias, why did you let Satan fill your heart and make you think you could lie to the Holy Spirit? You only pretended to give it all, yet you hid back part of the proceeds from the sale of your property to keep for yourselves.
4 Before you sold it, wasn’t it yours to sell or to keep? And after you sold it, wasn’t the money entirely at your disposal? How could you plot such a thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to people; you’ve lied to God!”
5 The moment Ananias heard those words, he fell over dead. Everyone was terrified when they heard what had happened.“
When you speak to certain servants of God, they are ambassadors to His throne, and what you promise to them or if you receive instruction or warnings from them is deemed and considered directly from God or the Holy Spirit.
This member relapsed out of resentment and anger, and he has been warned many times not to return to his vomit (drugs and drinking). And now he got a taste of severe pain. I told him to imagine this in hell 100x worse. The doctor says that stress will trigger shingles, and he wanted to blame his wife, but as I said many times, people need to stop blaming others and take their own responsibility because they are the ones who will suffer.
In Acts chapter 5, the sin of lying was used as an example. Still, whether the sin is breaking your vow or promises to God, rejecting God’s calling, disobeying, or trampling on His grace, as the Bible has warned, there will be consequences, especially as His presence and anointing increases. This is not an attempt to instill fear, but people need to respect God by showing deep reverence and knowing the Truth about why “bad” things happen. But are these things really bad, or is it mercy? It is mercy as a warning so we may fully turn back to Him in full surrender before final judgment. It is not that hard, is it?
In Acts chapter 5, not only did Ananias drop dead for lying to the Holy Spirit as Peter stood in front of him, but shortly after, his wife came and dropped dead for lying as well. If they had lied to someone else, they probably would not have dropped dead but gotten away with it, but they had lied to Peter, who indirectly represented the Holy Spirit. Why Peter? It is because who Peter had become in Christ Jesus. He was now operating in Apostolic power and revelation which meant the Holy Spirit was in overflowing measure through Peter. This is not an extraordinary event, but it is what all churches and ministries must come to as a standard. But most Christian ranks are but handicapped, impotent, defective dross where truth has been watered down, and judgment is not immediate because God is not present. Unless they are awakened, the outcome will be that they will be gathered together to be sent to eternal fire.
Let us not deny the truth for the sake of comfort or fear but come to true reverence and holiness to experience true freedom rather than conceptualize Christianity as many are trapped in “organized religion.”
