Philippians 3:8 TPT “To truly know Him meant letting go of everything from my past and throwing all my boasting on the garbage heap. It’s all like a pile of manure to me now, so that I may be enriched in the reality of knowing Jesus Christ and embrace him as Lord in all of his greatness.“
To change into a new suit or dress, you need to take off the old. Otherwise, you are only carrying the new around but never letting the old go. Then we are only speaking about being a Christian rather than living as a Christian whose identity is on the uniform we wear. We are to be clothed in the presence of Jesus.
