2 Timothy 2:5, 11-13 TPT “An athlete who doesn’t play by the rules will never receive the trophy, so remain faithful to God!
In church, there are rules. There are instructions and guidelines. Break the rules and lose the prize of life. To remain faithful is to keep the rules and contract in which you have surrendered to Jesus the King.
11 You can trust these words: If we were joined with him in his death, then we are joined with him in his life!
We can only experience joining in His Life when we are joined with Him in death. What does that mean? As long as you are carnal and fleshy, you may still be joined with the world and have not died to the world. Then, you may still need to be fully reborn. Perhaps you are still a fetus.
12 If we are joined with him in his sufferings, then we will reign together with him in his triumph. But if we disregard him, then he will also disregard us.
Why do people lack leadership? Because they run from suffering pain, and they do not pass their tests of discipline or rebuke. But it says if we get offended at the tests and suffering and disregard Him, HE will despise us.
13 But even if we are faithless, he will still be full of faith, for he never wavers in his faithfulness to us!”
HE is faithful. If we are faithless, HE is faithful to go to your descendants and fulfill His Word through them.
