1 Samuel 7:2 NLT “The Ark remained in Kiriath-jearim for a long time—twenty years in all. During that time all Israel mourned because it seemed the Lord had abandoned them.”
Why do many Christians feel that the Lord has abandoned them? We must first know and understand the story of the high priest Eli and his defeat. The people of God are either led into sin or away from it through leadership or authority. There is a contrast between high priest Eli and the Prophet Samuel, who was sent to deliver God’s people.
