Psalms 23:4 TPT “Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.”
Who is the one who takes you to the valley of deepest darkness? Once you come to the revelation that God is in full control, even of your losses, you will find comfort and freedom. It is when you struggle to survive for whatever reasons, such as competition, appearance, pride, greed, or time, that you will just stress yourself from FOMO or insecurity. You are not resting in Him but looking for security or a cushion from Egypt.

If a father goes to work, makes money, protects the family, cuts the grass, fixes the car, and pays the bills, is he putting his wife and kids first above his friends, career, Sunday football, sports, or his hobbies?
Is that what it means?

You need to be beating the religious people beyond works, obligation, and duty.
Praying, reading, going to church, and serving are what are taught to new Christians. Yes, to the babies, such elementary things are taught. If I have to continue to remind you, then are you not a baby?
What are mature Christians to do beyond the basics as they continue to do the basics?
