The people wanted meat, and God gave it to them. In fact, HE said you can have it for a whole month until it comes out of your nostrils and you gag.
They got their prayers and complaints answered, but it turned out badly in the end. Why?
After all, I am sure on the first day when all the quails flew into the camp, people celebrated and said, like a reflex without any understanding, “Praise God! Hallelujah! Thank you!”
What was the point? You can receive what you keep demanding and complaining of not having, but in the end, you will gag. Why? What point was God trying to make with stiff-necked people?

Senior Pastor Steve Kim – @Will Sweet, ok, let us examine that scripture
Philippians 3:17-21 TPT
“My beloved friends, imitate my walk with God and follow all those who walk according to the way of life we modeled before you. For there are many who live by different standards. As I’ve warned you many times (I weep as I write these words), they are enemies of the cross of the Anointed One, and doom awaits them. Their god has possessed them and made them mute. Their boast is in their shameful lifestyles and their minds are in the dirt. “But we are a colony of heaven on earth as we cling tightly to our life-giver, the Lord Jesus Christ,” who will transform our humble bodies and transfigure us into the identical likeness of his glorified body. And using his matchless power, he continually subdues everything to himself.”
There is a standard that God’s people are to follow, or else it will be considered different and become enemies of the Cross.
What is the standard? The standard is what Jesus set forth for His leaders and for the people to follow and imitate. Although this can look cultish, it is a chain of command not only of authority but also of how to follow and the way to follow.
Any deviation would be considered different. In NLT and other versions, it says their god is their belly or appetite, referring to the desires of the world.
In the last verse of 21, it states that Jesus will transform our bodies into the identical likeness of His.
If we are speaking of food, did Jesus show a lack of discipline when it came to food? We can argue that there was no junk food back then. Did that make it easier for Jesus to stay fit?
If you are to follow the leaders, are you following our plan to stay healthy? Or do you have a different plan for measuring and defining?
Granted, we eat pizza and fried chicken on Sundays due to the lack of a full kitchen to cook our own meals and the cost, but it doesnt mean you should eat more than you need to. Maybe one or two slices are good enough for you, and then you can go for a walk rather than a nap. Or bring your own food.
