‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT “‬‬King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”

On the outside, a person can appear they are living in obedience as one comes to church, prays with the church, participates in church activities and serves, reads the bible, and tithe and offering. But the real question is, what or how are you representing when in the world?

Are we constantly late for work? Looking at your phone when working? Disrespecting your bosses? Cheating on the time card? Not studying at school? Cheating at school? On the phone during class time? On the phone during sermon time? Late to school? Watching nonsense on the internet?
Disrespecting parents? Lying? More lying? Being lazy? Acting helpless? Cheating on fast? Cheating on diet? Recalibrating the weight scale? Arguing? Squabbling? Etc, etc, etc.

And u wonder why no breakthrough? No deliverance? No healing? No prayers answered? Still looking like a catfish?

I’m not saying we pastors are perfect. We are not. But there are levels, and you need to at least reach ours as a standard, as we all reach for the standard of Jesus through grace and His Blood. When u reach our standard today, the pastors will be at a higher level than you, and you will have more levels to go. Or you can stay at the bottom, where worms and maggots never die in the fire.

“In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭25‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We all, as bottom feeders, came as maggots and worms, but now as sons of God, are you to stay? It’s up to you. Attendance by itself will not save us. Your righteousness must exceed that of the very religious.

As Jotham, our obedience is also measured in the power received.

Additional Comments:

As Jotham, our obedience is also measured in the power received.

No power? You should look at whether you are obeying outside of church life.

As verse 2 says, Jotham was CAREFUL to live in obedience to his God.

Why would we need to be careful? Cause many just live recklessly as though you are exempt.
