Psalms 105:19 TPT “God’s promise to Joseph purged his character until it was time for his dreams to come true.”
The promises of God, when spoken over us, whether personally or corporately, feel good. It feels like eating comfort food. But as Beloved HD experienced and testified, once you are truly in, the purging begins, which he described as spiritual knives, axes, and the guillotine coming out to chop and refine your flesh and character, defined as “discipline.” But only then, and thereafter, when the purging or cleansing is done, may your dreams come true.
If you cannot handle discipline or Godly suffering, please do not seek prophecy or any blessings, as that will trigger a purge in your life. You must count the cost of following and committing to Jesus. This is not a joy ride nor a scavenger hunt to find free goodies.
But if you rather sit on the sidelines, here is a scripture for you.
Psalms 105:8-9 TPT “For though a thousand generations may pass away, He is still true to His word. He has kept every promise He made to Abraham and to Isaac.”
Whether God uses you or the corporate church to fulfill His promise, He will fulfill His promise whether you or the next person, and HE can wait for many generations. But for the one who rejects the promise, well, here are the verses that will apply.
Hebrews 2:3 AMP “how will we escape [the penalty] if we ignore such a great salvation [the gospel, the new covenant]? For it was spoken at first by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us and proved authentic by those who personally heard [Him speak],”
Psalms 95:7-11 TPT For we are those He cares for, and He is the God we worship. So drop everything else and listen to his voice! For this is what He’s saying: “Today, when I speak, don’t even think about turning a deaf ear to Me like they did when they tested Me at Meribah and Massah, the place where they argued with Me, their Creator. Your ancestors challenged Me over and over with their complaining, even though I had convinced them of my power and love. They still doubted my care for them.
10 So for forty long years I was grieved and disgusted by them. I described them as wicked wanderers whose hearts would not follow my ways or keep my words.
11 So I made a vow in my anger and declared, ‘They will not enter the resting place I’ve planned for them!’ So don’t you ever be hard-hearted or stubborn like they were!”
God called them “wicked wanderers” and the plan HE had for them, HE voided. The solution is do not be hard hearted and stubborn or less you lose the promise.
Comments:
Even as you start to pray and read, the purging begins and this is why so many stop praying and reading as they cannot handle the heat. Try the Bible with cartoon illustrations first for better digestion.
