Hello, Church:

Modern society has entered into an existential crisis . . . the iPhone dependency and addiction crisis. This is a societal epidemic of slow spiritual decay and death.

Who or what are we letting tell us who we are, what to believe, and how we should behave? The moment you idly click on your iPhone without a specific Godly purpose or for constructive information, and you bond in your spirit to the first pop-up or Shorts video, even though it may seem innocent or benign, you are filing yourself with the spirit of the world. God is not in this. The enemy is in the dialogue of the world, and much of it we cannot even see.

If we constantly fill our mind with spiritually impotent nonsense, we are going to live a spiritually impotent life. Then you will wonder why you feel apart from God, why you feel anxiety and fear and depression, and why God is not actively working in your life. You will be stuck.

Leaders – PROTECT YOUR ANOINTING AND THE PRESENCE. If you are a leader or go up on the alter for any reason, we have no business tuning our spirit in with the world’s chatter. This will compromise our anointing and quench the Spirit. I have found this to be true in my preaching. I cannot hear from God for my next sermon content if I tune into the chatterbox of the world. We must fill our minds with God’s voice and His Word. We must be careful what voices we are listing to.
