The Power of Declaration! The Power of Word You Speak! By Pastor Joo Eun Kim.
Numbers Chapter 14:28 NLT
‘Now tell them this: ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say. ‘
God spoke to me regarding the authority and power of spoken words. He talked to me about the power of words coming from my lips.
“Are you doing shout-out prayer?” “Are you doing determined prayer?” “Why don’t you powerfully use words? Do you not know that I created the whole universe with Words? You have received the authority and power of My Spirit when I adopted you as My child.”
The Holy Spirit will enter us when we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Then, the Holy Spirit and your spirit will unite. When we become united, the Lord will grant us authority and power. This is the spiritual power that is given to God’s children. But because evil spirits know how powerful it can be, it will “Shhhhhh~~!!” us. It will say,
“Don’t speak the words!”
Our enemy, the devil, and evil spirits want to hide the truth about our authority and power altogether. They use deception to prevent us from knowing about it. They don’t want us to know about spiritual power; they don’t want us to know there is power in our words and the power and authority we received when God adopted us.
We are created in God’s image. When we became His children, we also received His Spirit. God created the world with His Word. Jesus defeated evil spirits in the wilderness with the Word of God. Every form of power starts from the words in your mouth. Your lips have authority and power.
Since the devil (and his followers evil spirits) witnessed how Words had been so powerful and authoritative for thousands of years, evil spirits prevent us from using them. ‘Hey, don’t use it, it’s useless. Don’t speak it out in words or even think about it.’
Evil spirits lead us not to use our words powerfully and properly with authority.
The Lord told Pastor JooEun, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell Me what you need, and thank Me for all I have done.”
Pastor JooEun, while doing her newly established Ministry, prayed without fully believing or trusting how God was working but prayed with worry. She said,
“Why won’t God grant my prayer answers? What’s wrong? Are there a lot of sins I need to resolve? Is it because I’m not fasting?”
When you speak out negatively and passively, these words you speak will be “created” from the inside of you. Now, these negative and passive words will become alive and begin to work to manifest.
When you speak worrying words, you’ve given life to those words you spoke. When you talk anxious words, you’ve given life to the anxious words you spoke. Such words will gain strength and energy, and the evil spirit will also begin to work. Evil spirits will say,
“Hey, you spoke it out! You just declared! You said worrying words, you said, “It’s too hard!! It’s too difficult! Nothing works for me! I’m Poor! I’m going to die! I feel depressed! I’ll go through a hard time!”
If you speak it out in words, those words will create energy, settle down deep inside of you, and become native to you. How will it manifest? You will gradually see the fruits of it in your life. Your temperament, personality, and characteristics will reveal what you sow with your words.
When you pray, if you are praying with complaints, worry, and unbelief, your prayer will become a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
God spoke to Pastor JooEun Three times. “BE CAREFUL OF THE WORDS YOU SPEAK. BE CAREFUL OF THE WORDS YOU SPEAK! BE CAREFUL OF THE WORDS YOU SPEAK!”
If you want to cultivate your values, thoughts properly, and the field of your heart, you must first think about the words coming out of your mouth in your daily life while you are praying. Are you repeatedly speaking complaining words, blaming words, and resenting words?
***Beloved church family members, there have been many good testimonies from our church regarding being positive and declaration.
Even if you say that you are praying positively and declare many times daily, it will take some time to see its fruit. But while waiting, you also don’t want to sow negative seeds. Those seeds will eventually bear fruit.
My testimony also proves that positive words and declarations work. The faster you guys learn to apply, the shorter your wilderness will be. When my family was going through the most challenging time, pastor steve became drunk daily, spoke very violently, and didn’t wanna pray or read; all he did was work, drink, and watch TV. Our marriage was falling apart; we almost divorced due to his cheating.
But I was determined to trust God and did not say even one negative word. I was sowing good words daily. My declaration was, “My family will serve the Lord! My husband will serve the Lord! He will become a servant of God! He will do God’s work! God will bless our children! God will repay the suffering we go through a thousand times!”
There was no hope for me to see with my physical eyes. But still decided to believe in God.
But it took us ten years and over for it to manifest. This is many people’s dilemma. Because God’s promise, prophecy, or what we declared does not come so fast, they begin complaining, resenting, and getting mad.
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
While waiting, people still need to be tested, overcome, refined, repent, and forgive. There are things to be taken care. God also watches your diligent lifestyle.
Save your time. Use it to the maximum. Don’t stay in the same state after five or ten years. I pray that we all quickly learn and apply so that we will experience the promised life.
