1 Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Then the Lord gave this message to Solomon:

12 “Concerning this Temple you are building, if you keep all my decrees and regulations and obey all my commands, I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father, David.

13 I will live among the Israelites and will never abandon my people Israel.”

During the time of David:

1 He fled from King Saul, learning to honor authority.
2 He led a group of outcasts, and God trained them to become mighty men for David’s sake.
3 David became king, fought many battles and wars, as God trained his hands and feet.
4 David endured numerous tribulations.
5 The Triune God gave King David God’s word, promises, a future, and blessings for his descendants.

This period can represent a season of spiritual battles for us, as God delivers us from demons, bondages, curses, and physical ailments. It is also a time to immerse ourselves in church attendance, prayer, reading, giving, making sacrifices to God, and learning spiritual authority. It is a season of training, restoration, and healing. It is a time when our calling, promises, and assignments are given.

King David was given a kingdom, but the Temple of God had not yet been built or made permanent. Like King David, many of us have received callings, promises of restoration, and assurances of wealth given or restored. David had to wait to become king and for the Temple to be built, which was ultimately constructed by his successor and son, Solomon. The building of the temple represents the next season for us.

What does King Solomon represent? It signifies a time of resting in God. The demons no longer greatly harass or steal from us as before. It is a time of peace, prosperity, and reflection on God’s goodness and what He has done to bring us to this point. However, as the Temple of God is being built under King Solomon, God issues a warning in verse 12.
Any promises made by God to us are conditional as we enter and build during Solomon’s season.

In verse 12, God commands us to keep all His word and commandments so that the promises made to us may be fulfilled. Furthermore, in verse 13, He reassures us that He will always be with us as we keep His Word.

You may have attended this church and joined this ministry from the beginning, maintaining excellent attendance, praying, reading, tithing, offering, serving, preaching, holding positions of authority, and pouring your heart out at the altar. However, if you break His Word, fail to keep His commandments (whether logos or rhema), or disregard spiritual authority, the promises you have received for yourself and your family will not come to pass. Just as God’s people in the wilderness failed to enter God’s rest, we, too, will not find rest as unfinished temples, whether corporately or individually.

What does it mean to keep the Word and commandments of God? Jesus is the Word, so we must remain faithful, loyal, and committed to following Him to the end. As Jesus told Peter, we cannot simply do or go wherever we please. Likewise, we are not permitted to attend any church or ministry that suits our convenience or to forge our own paths of ministry or life as mavericks. We are a redeemed people who must fully adhere to the will of the Holy Spirit! Other Christians who are at other churches or ministries have their own assignment and are not currently our concern at this moment. You all have been called here, and you must come to the revelation of your purpose and assignment.

FYI, the gypie church next door is shutting down as they left me a message asking if we need any equipment, as they are shutting down. I am sure they meant selling me their used equipment.
