Proverbs 4:5-7 BSB “Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget My words or turn from them.
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will guard you.
7 Wisdom is supreme; so acquire wisdom. And whatever you may acquire, gain understanding.”
How can we get wisdom and understanding? If you do not read the Bible or pray, you cannot get either. Be thankful I force you to read and pray, but I prefer you do so on your own as an adult and not as a child.
I have come to realize many of God’s people intentionally act childishly. They intentionally act foolishly. They intentionally act handicapped. They intentionally act retarded at times. They intentionally act as if they lack marbles. They intentionally act helpless.
If HE who is in you is Greater than he (devil) who is in the world, then how is it you, a child of God, act intellectually disabled or cognitively impaired? If we want to act stupor, then stupor you will get and become!
Definition:
“A stupor is a state of near-unconsciousness or a condition where the mind and senses are greatly dulled. A person in a stupor is almost entirely unresponsive and can typically only be aroused by vigorous or intense stimulation, such as loud calling, shaking, or pain.”
Therefore, God will greatly shake you and allow great pain to awaken you,
‘Awake! O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’
Additional Comments:
This is why Christ cannot shine on people. They act dead and do not want to be awakened from their stupor.
They want to stay lazy. They want to look helpless and cognitively impaired. They want to look like a deer 🦌 when oncoming headlights approach. They want others to change their diapers and be a child forever. They want to stay frightened and always blame the devil as an excuse for their lack of courage.
