1 Peter 1:15-17 Living Bible
But be holy now in everything you do, just as the Lord is holy, who invited you to be His child. He Himself has said, “You must be holy, for I AM holy.”

“The Hebrew word for “holy” means “set apart,” “sacred,” or “consecrated,” often referring to something or someone separated for divine purposes, pure, or morally perfect.

In the Hebrew Bible, it’s used to describe God’s unique, transcendent nature or things dedicated to Him, like the Sabbath or the Temple.”

This verse was given to me a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been meditating on it.

God is calling us to be holy. He wants us to be set apart. Can the worldly people around you see that you are a set-apart person (genuine Christian), or do they think you are one of them?

How’s your behavior and conduct? What kind of words are coming out of your mouth? Do you possess the characteristics of God or the devil? Are you keeping God’s Sabbath, the Lord’s day, Sunday, with all your heart? Are you taking care of your Temple, your body? God called us to be holy (set apart) with all these things.

Our (Sr Pastor Steve & I) answer to your question of breaking Sabbath, Sunday, the Lord’s day will be “No”. So, please make your own choice on this subject.

Yes, in some cases, you need to “break” the Lord’s day because you might be severely sick and have no medication at home, need to buy medication, or need to go to an emergency. If it’s not a life-or-death situation, please make your own decision, and please don’t ask us if you can break the day.

Please do not ask if you can do a birthday celebration at the church on Sunday. Please do not ask us if you can buy or sell on the day. Please do not ask us if you can watch a worldly movie. Please do not ask us if you can go to your family gathering to participate in a special event. It should be all your own decision.

Everyone should think about the verse “You must be holy, for I AM holy.”
Everyone should ask themselves, ‘Am I putting God first and above all things in my life?’

People are wondering why they are not getting their breakthrough. People are waiting for their blessing. They never get to see their calling and mission being fulfilled.

Sr. Pastor and I want all our church family to prosper in all areas of their lives. But we can help so much. We can’t do everything for you. You have parts to do.
You can do this right if you put your heart into it.

Additional Comments:

I will touch a bit on this Sunday. We all need to grow up and make our own decisions led by the Holy Spirit. You all know too much. Asking us does not always make it right, and u may put us (including the church) in jeopardy to satisfy your own fear or desires.

Showing me an inappropriate private video on Sunday or any day is putting your pastor and this church in jeopardy. Continuing in nonsense that crosses the line, and u will only number your own days at this church. We will no longer tolerate things that put our church or ourselves in judgment. People who have been here for a very long time will be severely warned.

I am not saying u need to make your own decisions in all matters, but you need to look at your motive before coming to me. Your motive is what I am questioning. If the heart is most wicked above all things, ask yourself before u ask me.

If I go down, this church is scattered and done. Why put your pastor in jeopardy? Our leaders and mature members must be my other eyes and ears to observe the immature and seducers from trying to lay a trap for us. Do not be the one used by the enemy to try to lay a trap on us 🪤.

We do not need to become so religious, but need to operate in love and not fear or personal fleshly desires. If you cannot make your own decision after being here for over a decade, led by the Holy Spirit, then the answer will be a resounding “NO” when it comes to keeping Sundays holy or about offerings.

We must come to maturity and come to the deep revelation of what it means, “no longer under the law” so u may live freely, in love, and without judgment or guilt.
