Hello Church Family! 🔥
I wanted to share a small testimony of what God has truly done with my life and what he is doing now in Jocelyn and I’s life.
As you all know, I started out six years ago, and I never knew when a wife would come for me. To be honest, it didn’t really matter to me anymore. What I was having the most fun doing was coming to church and serving the church and God. Everything else didn’t really matter. Through seasons, God has taught me to just wait for my season. It’s hard sometimes, honestly, when you have the urge to just want to move and have your desires right there and then, but honestly, God just wants you to wait and be patient, and I think that is key.
God has tremendously shown me a new way of life. Of course, I still have my mistakes, but as long as I try to better myself, God will help strengthen me more every day.
Within my waiting period, God has truly brought me a partner who has the same qualities as me, of course, attitude, but also has a passion that I have as well. Jocelyn has adjusted her life a lot from where she was six months ago. I remember a conversation that we had that could have ended our whole relationship that I will one day share with all of you because it really shows how you should not put an expectation on one person but accept them for who they are and allow God to change them. In my waiting period, Jocelyn observed and realized that this is a new life she has not experienced, and something she wanted to experience. For me, it’s good to help and teach her, but learn not to expect much. Month over month, I see a difference.
I am very thankful to have been sent a partner who I believe will make the right choice down the line for our family and put God first before all of us. We have a long way to go together, but I will say I am thankful for how far God has brought us, and we are just very thankful for the opportunity to be here.
Yesterday was Jocelyn’s birthday, and for the longest time, we have talked about engagement photos creating an album for our future. We searched for different people and tried to find the best price, and one of my co-workers actually had a wife with her own business, and she had a very decent price, more than any other photographer. Since we tried on my birthday to take them, they didn’t work out, but with Jocelyn’s birthday being yesterday, we were able to schedule an appointment with her. This photo session turned out great, and we couldn’t be happier. We are really thankful for what God is doing in our lives.
