Hebrews 2:9 TPT “But we see Jesus, who as a man, lived for a short time lower than the angels and has now been crowned with glorious honor because of what HE suffered in his death. For it was by God’s grace that HE experienced death’s bitterness on behalf of everyone!”
We think God’s grace is composed of free passes or chances, and think pain has to do with sin or the devil. But yet here in verse 9, grace is also the ability to suffer in great pain for another. God allowed Jesus to experience the bitterness of death, and it was by His Grace.
Therefore, when you suffer or are in pain, it is His Grace as He is trying to awaken you from your stupor. Rather than blowing up, complaining, or grumbling, you should, like Christ, if you are a Christian, go to the cross as HE did. Go pick up your cross and thank God for disciplining you so you do not have to face the second death.
