Joshua 7:13 NLT “Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the Lord. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.“
Life is defeating for many Christians because they have hidden secrets or things that have yet to be surrendered to God. So when your lives are constantly defeated, stop blaming the devil, people, or leadership. But look at the guilty party who is looking in the mirror.
Look at yourself and ask God to show you your blindspots and sin. It is you who needs to be purified.
Ai was supposed to be an easy battle, but they could not even win over a simple weaker nation. Many Christians cannot even tell the weaker demons that harass their lives to get lost because of their hidden sin, which they knowingly and intentionally have buried to keep for another day.
Pride will look for someone else to blame and look for scapegoats. But as “more than conquers in Christ,” how can you look for scapegoats to blame when you should be a conqueror?
Definition Conqueror: a person who conquers a place or people.
You are supposed to conquer the demonic realm, take this earth or land back, and have your spiritual and physical fortune restored. This is a constant action word—a word that requires us to move from Glory to Glory!
But many are content to be lazy, comforted, safe, and want to be spoon-fed. Some even start acting handicapped to appear impotent, so they do not need to conquer but are content to do slave work of chopping wood and carrying water for the army. They do not want to work, take risks, or keep their spiritual duties, but rather play all day like children and sleep at their post. When God’s Presence increases, such people will have two choices: decide life or death.
According to your faith, let it be done to you. What you get in life is what you have believed, so only you will be accountable on judgment day.
Arise and shine, or go put your head back in the ground like an ostrich bird and pretend judgment is not coming.
