Philippians 2:3-4 “Don’t let selfishness and prideful agendas take over. Embrace true humility, and lift your heads to extend love to others. 4 Get beyond yourselves and protecting your own interests; be sincere, and secure your neighbors’ interests first.”
“It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring.” Alfred Adler Psychologist
Perhaps, we can apply this within our own family and marriages, and not in a general sense? If you think you have been serving, sacrificing, giving, and then complain about how much you gave of yourself, wouldn’t the irony be that you are doing it for yourself for a gain, and the complaining proves it?
