Isaiah 32:16-20 NLT “Justice will rule in the wilderness and righteousness in the fertile field. And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest. Even if the forest should be destroyed and the city torn down, the LORD will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up. Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely.”
In the wilderness, we must expect the discipline of the Lord. It is the place in which we need to die to Egypt (the world) and of ourselves. “Justice will rule in the wilderness.” The wilderness is a season of breaking, correction, discipline, and justice. It is a place where our wayward hearts must be straightened. What does justice mean? Justice has to do with just behavior or treatment. The justice God requires is how we view and treat Him, His authorities, and His people. In the wilderness, they had to submit or die. We should not try to run from it, or else we look back to Egypt where we think it is easier.
“Righteousness in the fertile field.” When we have been broken, disciplined, corrected, crucified to the world, and trained in His ways of righteousness, then our season and land will be fertile ground. This is the land of abundance, blessings, health, prosperity, power, authenticity, anointing, and restoration. As we have been learning from the Holy Spirit, there is an order to all things. It is a place of rest. The promise is that in the midst of great tribulation, as long as we sustain our faith and righteousness, HE will Greatly bless us.
In this place of rest, even if the world is chaotic, whether the economy fails, wars are occurring, famine, or violence in the streets, there is a promise. Wherever we plant will produce an abundance. Whatever we touch will be blessed. If we are worldly ignorant Christians, then we will participate in worldly woes.
We do not belong to this world. We do not belong to the economy of this world. We are to finish our seasons and training as we learn obedience through God’s order of authority so that we may reach this promise. Do not receive negative news or gossip from the world or from people who have no faith. Such rhetoric is nonsense and has no place for the Bride of Christ. We are in His economy. We are in His hands.
What is the harvest of righteousness as stated in the above scripture? The harvest of righteousness is Peace. It brings quietness and confidence. We need to discern and humble ourselves as many try to force themselves to be in the fertile ground when they really are still in the wilderness. This is why their leaves will be cursed since the tree has no fruit. They will be forced back to reality. Those who try to exalt themselves will be humbled. Those who get ahead of themselves will have a season of anxiety and stress.
Even if the forest should be destroyed and the cities torn down, the promise is that HE will greatly bless His people. There is a great blessing in the midst of the storm. But this promise is not automatic, and therefore, many are living cursed lives. They are lack of knowledge and out of order. You must be refined, broken as a wild horse/donkey needs to be broken, and learn to deeply respect God through the authority of the church. We must return to the fundamental principles of God’s kingdom and order. What may they be? God’s people are breaking His commandments and laws and living in sin. We are to be restored as we are restored back to His commandments and order.
May you all pass your tests to receive this promise and great blessing.
