”every husband must love his wife as himself, and every wife must respect her husband.“
Biblical meaning of submission:
1. To willfully deploy one’s self in service to their partner
2. Respecting divinely appointed authority out of respect for Christ.
3. “to give over or yield to the power or authority of another.”
4. to yield to them, to do as they wish, to let them lead the way.
Biblical meaning of Love:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 TPT
Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.
Every couple’s situation is different, but God has made His point very clearly through His Words. If couples obey and apply God’s instructions, both husbands and wives will get their deliverance.
Why so many wives have a hard time submitting? Bottom line is that they do not truly respect their husband in their hearts and this behavior also indicates that they do not truly respect God. They do not truly respect God’s divine order. They are not led by the Spirit of God (submission) but their flesh (rebellion).
So many husbands have limited patience, rough, angry and irritated. These behaviors are opposite of what love would do. Wives are like churches, they have a lot of crazy problems, they are tripolar and controlling.
Therefore, husbands need to lead their wives as they love them. Love is incredibly patient, gentle, not easily irritated or quick to take offense, never gives up and be a safe place of shelter.
Sometimes, God gives me certain scriptures in the middle of the night. He wants me to write or deliver to a certain people.
At the same time….
I’m also deeply observing my own heart, I’m searching deepest part of my heart. I want to make sure I truly respect my husband in my heart not just outwardly because this will indicate how much I respect God and His divine order.
I hope all couples search their hearts and exam your actions towards each other to have their breakthrough in their marriage. 🧡💝
