Acts 24:5 NLT
“We have found this man to be a troublemaker who is constantly stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the cult known as the Nazarenes.“
The above scripture shows religious leaders are accusing Apostle Paul (and his ministry) as a cult. These leaders are indirectly accusing Jesus as a cult as well by using the word “Nazarenes”.
I’ve realized there will always be people who will speak against our church as we grow. All big and impeccable churches went through and are still going through what we are experiencing.
Someone will tell them that they are “a cult” because these churches impact people’s lives with the power & guidance of the Holy Spirit.
There is the biggest church in the world in Korea, and recently a senior pastor passed away. Because his ministry was so powerful in the process of growing, many people called him a cult. Of course, it’s a Holy Spirit-filled church.
It’s not all bad when you are called a cult, this actually tells you that you are doing right and the Holy Spirit is leading. If Apostle Paul & Jesus were called a cult, how much more for us?
I’ve been asking God what to do about some people calling us a cult. God’s answer was “Don’t do anything, just keep on moving forward.”
So if your family or friends call you a cult or if they tell you that our church is a cult, you don’t need to argue, you don’t need to do anything. Let them be, and you just keep on moving forward.
They are ignorant (do not know the Holy Spirit), and they may just be jealous. Pray for them.

So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us?
