‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP “‬‬His father [David] had never rebuked him at any time by asking, “Why have you done this?” Adonijah was also a very handsome man, and he was born after Absalom.”

In today’s time and language, the statement would be, “What the “beep’ is wrong with you!”

Could King David, who was after God’s own heart, not be able to rebuke Adonijah for his misbehavior because he was so cute (the Bible says he was a very handsome man) in David’s eyes? Did David feel sorry for his son, Adonijah, because he was a problem child? Had a controlling and nagging mother who does not potty train or change your diapers, so you are a man-child forever? Or for whatever reason?

So what then happened? Both Adonijah and Absalom died from their own treachery due to a lack of discipline and rebuke. King David may have made it to heaven, but his two boys did not.

Maybe to save them, perhaps. King David should have said,

“What the ‘beep’ is wrong with you!!”

Additional Comments:

This is why I will have no problem asking any of my fellow church members,

“WHAT the ‘beep’ 🚙is wrong with you?”

And then threaten to kick you out or take away your privileges – said in a very benign tone, but willing to let you call me if I am bluffing or not.

Am I bluffing? Ask Paul Valley, who tested us running away from Rehab, and when we did not come pick him up, walked homeless for two weeks, and then found his own rehab to run to. Why? He was having numerous homeless dudes wanting to make him their boyfriend. Whether in jail or on the streets, there’s no problem in finding a boyfriend.

You’re welcome 🤗

I think being homeless and running away from other homeless dudes trying to make you their boyfriend would be a new type of testimony that can be added to our chapter.
