So answer and evaluate for yourself:
1. Are you a fleshy person?
2. Are you a soulish person ?
3. Are you a spiritual person?
Pastor Yoojin is translating one of Bishop sermon that addresses these questions and she gave me a brief update and we discussed. I will briefly discuss bouncing from our discussion so we can have redundancy.
A Fleshy person is a person who cannot discern right from wrong and are still on milk. Their flesh is stronger than their soul and spirit and is ruled by their flesh. They lack self discipline and understanding on the Word and do not diligently study and show dull and sluggish characteristics. They tend not to listen to spiritual instructions but react to fleshy pleasures or pain. They are emotional and react based on emotions. They may feel a lot of anointing (are sensitive babies) and react in the physical such as falling everywhere or bouncing all over the place but it is only on the surface. It is like a garden that feels the rain but the ground is stil hard and difficult to soak. You can feel anointing and joy when holy dancing but revert back to the flesh when not in the spiritual moment. In the flesh, prevalent characteristics of lying, cheating, betraying, strife, arguing, fighting, lack of self-discipline, subterfuge, sexual immorality, porn, phone addiction, idolatry, self-centeredness, gluttony, greed, and lack of full love are easily evident.
Hebrews 5:11-14 NLT There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. 12 You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.”
Verse 12, “You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.”
“Teach you again,” means going around the mountain again.
An infant does not know how to do right so what must an infant do? An infant or a fleshly Christian must just listen and obey since they have no ability to do right.
Why do fleshy people not listen to instructions? Why is revelation received like a McDonald’s hamburger when a Wagyu Prime Steak is served? Because they do not know the finer things.
1 Corinthians 2:14 NLT “But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.”
A soulish person is stronger in their conscience than their flesh but weaker than their spirit man. A soulish person can still have blind spots and cannot fully evaluate themselves spiritually, but in most part can control the flesh and keep it in its place.
A spiritual person can self evaluate and their spirit man is stronger and controls the soul and fleshy man. A spiritual man does not react to flesh but the Spirit. Spiritual people are gentle people who do not react to other’s flesh.
A fleshy man is controlled by the flesh and the world. When someone angers you, then a fleshy man reacts in the flesh of anger and attacks back physically, with cursed words, revenge, or hate in that moment. A fleshy man is easily offended based on how they are treated or spoken to through the circumstances in the flesh. A fleshy man thinks they have forgiven and are loving others, but cannot even discern righteousness.
John 3:7-8 TPT “You shouldn’t be amazed by my statement, ‘You all must be born from above!’
8 For the Spirit-Wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is the same with those who are Spirit-born!”
1 Corinthians 2:15 TPT “Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate (discerns) all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.”
“You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going.”
Spiritual people can evaluate themselves. They discern all things. They come to know the mind of God. Spiritual people are difficult to predict. You cannot make them angry nor do they react to your flesh. You want to be around spiritual people but like the wind, they are difficult to predict and catch. The flesh wants an audience but they cannot predict where the wind is going.
Now, how do you become a spiritual person? Non-spiritual people are already dead men walking.
1 Corinthians 15:43-44 NLT “Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.”
For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies. There are goats and sheep. There are tares and wheat. There are honorable vessels and dishonorable vessels. There are the obedient and disobedient. There were Esau and Jacob. There were Able and Cain. The church is the field, and you are playing one or the other, but God’s Will is that you be regenerated and transformed. But which will you play?
Answer: You need to listen, obey, and die to your flesh and be crucified rather than react in offense and rebellion. We need to stop going over the same teachings over and over again. Infants born do not have eyes to see nor ears to hear. This is why they are not given those gifts to see and hear since they are infants. They literally cannot see nor hear properly and many of you are still infants.
Additional Comments:
And for the leaders, you need to stop going into the penalty box or run out of gas.
Being a leader does not equate you as a spiritual person, but you should be moving in that direction.
You could be soulish or soul/fleshy.
Do you think you can make it to heaven as a fleshy person? Or soulish?
“When the people heard the thunder and the loud blast of the ram’s horn, and when they saw the flashes of lightning and the smoke billowing from the mountain, they stood at a distance, trembling with fear. And they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen. But don’t let God speak directly to us, or we will die!”
Exodus 20:18-19 NLT
Why is Moses able to go up to the Mountain and speak to God? Why are the people afraid?
Unborn people are like a dead man walking. How can God have fellowship with dead people? How can fleshy Christians continue to claim they hear God? This is why God gave us the Word/Bible.
Unless we are regenerated, transformed, and born in the spirit, we cannot have true fellowship with God.
The blood is giving us grace and access, but still, we need to finish the process of denial of self and crucifying of our flesh to live in the spirit.
Fleshy people cannot overcome or finish anything. They quit.
Spiritual people overcome and finish the race(s). They do not quit.
Learn to finish and complete your assignments, tasks, school, life, and the process of crucifying your flesh!
Stop reacting to the flesh: “its too hard, procrastinating, sulking, offending, overeating, hiding chips/ice cream, jezebelling, nagging, texting your spouses non stop when they need to work because you need to feel in control, letting the body go, binging, looking at phone all day/night, being lazy, self pity, “i dont want to go to work!” etc, etc
If you wanna flow with the wind or be with the wind, then you need to become like the wind rather than the flesh which cannot determine where the wind is going but yet wants to be with the wind.
