Exodus 5:3 AMP “Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go on a three days journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God, so that He does not discipline us with pestilence or with the sword.”
God uses sickness as a form of discipline. If one is severely sick, the hope is that one would desperately seek and correctly obey God to find healing, thus getting back on track to proper worship. Any deviation will bring curses of Egypt or from this fallen life onto us.
