Before becoming a king, God had considered David a man after His own Heart. Are you such a person? Let us see some characteristics.
1 Samuel 17:34-37 NLT “But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep and goats,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock,
35 I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death.
36 I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God!
37 The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!” Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the Lord be with you!”
David is a person who takes care of the flock, including the goats, who can be considered troublemakers. He is a person who takes care of God’s people, whether they are sheep or goats. Moreover, David is willing to lay down his life for the flock. Even if lions or bears kidnap the sheep or goat to eat, David is one who will risk his life to rescue them from the jaws of the animals.
Are you willing to risk your life or give up your life for God’s people, including the troubled ones who act like goats? David used a club to bash the heads of lions and bears. He used his authority to defeat the enemy. Do we have the faith and belief in our authority to cast demons out by helping God’s people? We cast the demons out not only spiritually but by freeing God’s people by mandating His people to go find a job and work, pray, read, attend church, learn about spiritual authority, teach obedience, and His commandments.
But, of course, there will be some who do not make it as they allow themselves to become the food of the bears and lions because of their refusal to stay in the herd. They are the ones who stray away, lusting after the world’s seduction and pride. They will be the lazy who do not follow diligently but take grace for granted. However, who will you rather be? Food for the demons or a man/woman after God’s Heart?

Ghetto mindset or Kingship mindset? What is the difference? If you study to be a king, you will be one. If you want to be free all the time, then you will have learned to have a ghetto mindset.
