Why do people lie?..there are really two categories of liars.
First, there are liars who lie out of shame, guilt, fear of conflict or loss of love, and other fears.…They fear the other person’s anger or loss of love.
The second category are liars who lie as a way of operating and deceive others for their own selfish ends. There is no fear or defensiveness involved, just plain old lying for love of self.
We believe that truthfulness is the basis for almost everything. You should have an absolute zero-tolerance policy when it comes to deception. Lying should have no place in your life.
Be a person of the light, and people of the light will be drawn to you, and people of the darkness will not be able to tolerate the truth you embody. That is the best protection of all.
If you are an honest person, you will more likely end up with an honest person. If you deceive yourself or others, deceivers will be drawn to you. Be light and attract light. That is the best boundary of all.

Additional Comments:
You get a reflection of yourself. Stop blaming your spouse and look at yourself.
Then we can say liars beget liars, lazy begets lazy, manipulators beget manipulators, and so forth.
Do you want the spouse to change, and change yourself so that you may beget yourself?
