Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬-‭34‬ ‭TPT‬‬ “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.

34 Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”

I hope these are familiar verses to you. But we need to be reminded because people tend to forget. Let us begin with verse 34. I must remind you, these verses are highlighted in Red, which means Jesus spoke directly.

What does our Beloved Lord command in verse 34? HE says, “Refuse to worry about tomorrow.” Many people worry about many things. You may worry about money, government shutdown, rumors of war, rumors of many bad things, your job, or worry about crime, and worry about your kids being kidnapped by the imagined bogeyman or woman.
‭‭
What is the command? Jesus said to take care of your portion for today. HE said deal with the challenges of today. It means go to work on time. Do a good job at work today. Go look for a job. Pray and read your bible. Go exercise and break a sweat. Avoid the donuts at Starbucks. Clean your house. Cook for your family. Stop nagging. Stop arguing. Be nice to people. Give grace. Go food shopping. Repeat your instructions to your kids or household. Try not to get irritated by people. Try to love one another. Etc…. There are enough challenges each day to represent God properly.

Now, what if you are a person who worries a lot? Then you are directly disobeying Jesus. Instead of refusing to worry, you are refusing to obey your Beloved Lord. Then what will happen? Disobedience causes many problems. Then you are now breaking the command in verse 33. What is verse 33? Verse 33 is to keep your eyes and focus on God’s Kingdom and then all will be well. But how can all be well if you break the command in verse 34 and worry? Now you are breaking Jesus’ command.

And goes your cycle. Maybe you are psycho?

Remedy: Just take care of your business, respecting all things. Here are a few examples: Stop being late to work! Stop being late to God’s Sunday service. Stop having a bad attitude at work or toward your boss. Stop looking at your phone all day. Stop eating junk food. Stop being lazy! Stop vaping! Stop smoking crack or paint! Stop watching porn! Be honest! Be excellent in all you do with thanksgiving.

Yes! It is that simple. Control what you can control and let God fix what you cannot. But if you keep breaking His commandments, HE cannot fix what you cannot control because you are in disobedience. The curses will come.

Additional Comments:

What happens when a person worries too much? One side effect is that they snack before bed, at bed, and when waking up. Then what will happen? They snack some more every hour, in the hour and of the hour. Then what happens? They float away.

What are other side effects? Irritation, anger, negatively impulsive, air-headed, stares into space or planet Uranus, rarely smiles or laughs, needs preparation H ointment, requires laxative pills, requires antidiarrheal pills, etc

Another side effect of worry, when the person goes to the bathroom, there are explosive noises, explosions, and the end times must have begun in the bathroom.

Please refer to Matthew chapter 6, verse 34 for the remedy.
