Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭AMP “‬‬Now it shall be, if you diligently listen to and obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all of His commandments which I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

2 All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you pay attention to the voice of the Lord your God.”

Even during Moses’ time, God’s people could not hear God directly. So what does it mean to obey God’s voice?

John‬ ‭1‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah: “I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Clear the way for the Lord’s coming!’”

When they asked who John was, he replied by saying he is the voice referenced by the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 40:3. When we look at Isaiah 40, we can see in the context and in verse 5, God was speaking! The voice of God is spoken by His prophets. God spoke through Moses, John the Baptist, Isaiah, etc.

Therefore, if you diligently follow the voice of the Lord spoken by His authorities, then you will be blessed and prosperous. If you are offended and only listen sometimes, or you do not believe the voices spoken by your authorities are from the Lord, then you can take your chances. But this is the system that God has set up, which is not a democratic republic in which people can vote or look for other options.

2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, “Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

When our minds are ingrained with Western tradition, it is very difficult to accept kingdom principles.

But you need to think about this. Just saying “Amen” without meaning does not do anything. We all do know chapter 28, the other half?
