There is no need to call out for a shield if we are not going to submit to God. What is the Shield of God? We can know we are shielded as His blessings surround us.
Psalms 3:3 Voice “ But You, Eternal One, wrap around me like an impenetrable shield. You give me glory and lift my eyes up to the heavens.
Psalms 5:12 “You, O Eternal, are the One who lays all good things in the laps of the right-hearted. Your blessings surround them like a shield.
Additional Comments:
God is our shield. If you are tormented, you should consider fully submitting and surrendering to God. You say you are?
Well, not as a maverick and one who does not understand spiritual authority. You say you hear God and will do what the HS leads you, and will negate our authority? Well, Good luck then (even though luck does not exist)!
We do not call out the shield and then go lie on the couch, neglecting our spiritual duties.
