Philippians 2:8 TPT “He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!”
Obedience requires humility as one begins to subjugate oneself to another authority. Full obedience may be the highest form of worship. I repeat, “Full Obedience!” We can all obey at first and to some degree when we are desperate, in need, or seeking personal gain but to go all the way requires denial of one self into full abandonment. This is the place you will find your resurrection in Him.
Give it some thought.
Additional Comments:
Let us examine Jesus, Himself, who decided to be born a human, temporarily stripping Himself of His glory as God, for the sake of saving us. HE was born as a human baby naked under the authority of His creation. HE voluntarily allowed His creation to see Him naked and in fact nurse Him.
When He was born, Jesus had to trust His Father God using His earthly parents to wean and take care of Him. Jesus did not have to come in the form of a baby, subjugating Himself to human weakness, nor even to humans by being born. The devil, through Herod, tried to kill Him while a baby, but Jesus trusted Father God and His human parents to protect Him.
Now think about yourself, who needs to start over and learn to trust Father God and those HE has placed over your authority. But, of course, I would rather not see you naked, no thank you, since you may be a grown-up but a man (woman) child. Can you resonate with His humility? Can you identify with what He went through? Are you able to follow such a humbled path and say you are following the footsteps of your King? If we define humility from such a story of vulnerability, are you able to be exposed to such weakness so God’s Power may be perfected in you?
Christians like to say they just want to glorify God. Even this statement has become a cliche spoken through emotions in this lukewarm era. They have no idea the cost of glory. You should all give deeper thought to this message.
