Exodus 31:16 NLT “The people of Israel must keep the Sabbath day by observing it from generation to generation. This is a covenant obligation for all time.”
This is the 4th commandment and we must observe the context. After the resurrection which took place on the first day of the week was Sunday. Therefore, we celebrate each Sunday which is now the Lord’s Day.
Exodus 31:17 NLT “It is a permanent sign of my covenant with the people of Israel. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’”
Therefore, as the people of God, we do what the people of God are supposed to do. We go to church on Sundays. A day to be refreshed in Him as we worship and communion with our God. When we say we believe, there must be action to show we are. We are so we tithe and offer. We pray. We read. We worship. We listen to the sermon. We fellowship. We do because we are the people of God!
if we were something else, we would be doing something else.
